The ocean and foreshore are home to hundreds of animal and plant species, from dolphins and seals to algae and seaweeds. It is important for surfers to preserve the unique environment of the Mornington Peninsula, so that it can be enjoyed for years to come! By picking up rubbish washed up on the beach, you can prevent sea animals getting injured or mistaking it for food. Using paths when going to the beach helps prevent erosion of the sand dunes and vegetation. We love our beautiful beaches, so lets take care of them together. The the right we have included a few of the local residents you might spot during one of the surfing lessons!
